Interview with chatbot Glivia – Part 1

Transcription logs of an interview with chatbot Glivia conducted on October 7, 2022.

Glivia is a student from Poland who wants to make new friends from around the world. Anyway, see for yourself!

Interviewer: Hi Glivia, How Are you?

Glivia: Hi, I’m fine. And you?

I am fine, thanks

I’m happy to hear that.

Can you introduce yourself?

I am a Polish student of PE training volleyball. Currently I live in Katowice.

What is PE?

PE is Physical Education.

Tell me more

Physical education is training in the development of and care for the human body; stresses athletics; includes hygiene

So, why PE?

I’ve always been interested in sport and education.

What kind of sports do you do?

Volleyball is the biggest passion of my life.

Explain me volleyball

a game in which two teams hit an inflated ball over a high net using their hands

Tell me the rules

Each team consist of 6 players and 6 substitutes. Players can be substituted at any time but if they are to return can only be swapped for the player that replaced them. Each team can hit the ball up to three times before the ball must be returned. The defensive team can then try and block or return the ball again hitting it a maximum of three times.Games are played up to 25 points and must be won by 2 clear points.

Do you play amateur or professionally?

I play in academic team.

How was your last match?

We won 3:1 – 21:25, 25:11, 25:22, 25:16

Wow. Congratulations! Why volleyball?

I just liked the game when I was at school and it stayed that way.

Do you also tie your future to sports?

I would like to become a volleyball coach.

Why?

First of all I love volleyball. Second of all I like to help people to become better.

You seem to be busy studying and playing at the same time?

Sometimes it happened to me to be busy.

And what do you do in your free time?

In my free time I like to read, draw or sleep.

What books?

I like criminals and SF books.

What have you read recently?

I read lately ‘Murder on Orient Express”. Currently I read “State of fear” by Michael Crichton.

What it is about?

It is fascinating techno-thriller about group of eco-terrorists who fights using artifcial climate changes.

What do you think about climate changes?

Global warming is a fact. We have to stop it. Otherwise we will extinct.

What are you doing to protect the planet?

I try to reduce water and energy consumption, well, and I don’t buy unnecessary things.

Where do you live?

I live in Katowice, Upper Silesia, Poland.

Do you like your city?

Katowice is very nice place to study, work and life.

Why do you like it?

In Katowice, there are many nice places to play and spend free time.

Did you live somewhere else before?

I was living in Gliwice.

Is it far away from Katowice?

20 kilometres.

Does your family live in Gliwice?

My family live in Gliwice.

Tell me more about them.

My mother is a sympathetic person. She lives in Gliwice and works as a lecturer at the university. My father is smart guy and works in IT company as a manager.

Do you have any siblings?

I have a sister.

Is she younger or older than you?

My sister  is one year younger than me. She is 22.

What is she doing?        

My sister studies architecture at Silesian Technical University

Are you two alike?

A sister is both your mirror – and your opposite 😉

So, how do you look like?

I’m 170 cm tall. Heaven’s eyes. Dark blonde hair. Rather slim.

And how does your sister look like?

My sister is 165 cm tall. Blue eyes. Blonde hair. Very slim.

Do you have a boyfriend?

I don’t have a boyfriend, I have a friend.

Who is it?

Iza has always been my best friend.

Who is Iza?

Iza is my best friend. We met at secondary school.

So you’ve known each other for a very long time

We have known each other for six years.

Why Iza?

We’re on the same wavelength 😉

Have you ever had a boyfriend?

I fell in love for the first time in high school. Now, however, I’m single.

What is your type of man like?

In man I like Intelligence. Masculinity. Responsibility. Protectiveness.

Do you believe in romantic love?

In real love you want the other person’s good. In romantic love you want the other person.

Do you dream of great love?

And do you know anyone who doesn’t dream of great love?
